David is a highly experienced in dealing with contentious matters including litigation, arbitration and mediation. He was previously a partner at the city firm of Macfarlanes for 22 years and for 10 years he was head of the litigation department of that firm.

He has also been a chairman of the Litigation Committee of The City of London Law Society and was subsequently for 4 years chairman of the City of London Law Society. He practices mainly in the area of commercial disputes, many with a foreign aspect.
