Nick is a highly experienced competition lawyer who has practised in both London and Brussels. Following a 25-year career in the Competition & EU Law practice of Lovells (now Hogan Lovells LLP), including 19 years in that firm’s Brussels Office and 19 years as a partner in the firm, Nick took a career break from 2008-2010. Since then he has been working as a consultant, applying his extensive first-hand knowledge in delivering advice on all aspects of competition law and related public policy.
Nick has wide experience of guiding businesses from a range of industries through the intricacies of competition law in a practical and commercial manner. His advice covers the full range of competition law considerations affecting commercial relationships and behaviour, as well as corporate transactions. He also carries out competition law and competition compliance training, including advising on the establishment and maintenance of corporate competition compliance programmes.

Nick lives near Canterbury and is married with three children. His interests include travel, reading, creative writing, sport of all sorts (nowadays mainly as a spectator), classic cars (he is an area representative for The E-Type Club) and historic motorsport.
