Finance Minister, Bruno Le Maire, announced on Wednesday that France it will take Google and Apple to court over what it considered “abusive” contractual terms imposed by the tech companies.
France will be seeking fines of 2 million euros from Apple and Google. Maire has been made aware that the tech companies unilaterally imposed prices and contract changes on developers and startups, selling software on Google Play and Apple’s App Store.
