Galyna is a highly experienced litigation specialist with over six years of experience working on high profile and high value commercial disputes in International Arbitration and Litigation.
Galyna notably acted on complex disputes arising out of a shareholders’ agreement in excess of $90 million, matters involving a breach of contract with a value in excess of £250,000, and banking fraud matter with a value close to £1 billion. She also worked on cases involving claims in tort, such as economic tort and conspiracy to injure.
Galyna is currently engaged in a claim to enforce a DIFC judgement in England, a claim in the Commercial Court for conspiracy to injure where over £1 billion is claimed, arbitrations under the London Metal Exchange and International Chamber of Commerce rules and the enforcement of an English judgement in Singapore.
Galyna has a strong international academic background. She obtained an Honours degree in History from Kyiv Taras Shevchenko National University. She holds a master’s degree in International Law and Human Rights from Birkbeck University of London with a Merit and completed GDL and LPC at BPP Law School. Galyna is a graduate member of CILEx and she is working towards her UK qualification.
Before joining Preiskel & Co, Galyna gained experience in a number of large city firms, including Bryan Cave and Freshfields. Galyna came to law with a business background. She previously held the position of a managing director and singlehandedly ran a large business in London.
Galyna is a native Russian and Ukrainian speaker.
