Joanna is a UK qualified lawyer at Preiskel & Co who specialises in cross-border commercial contracts, international telecommunications advice, and data protection.
Joanna advises on commercial contracts such as SaaS, MSAs, reseller and distribution, licensing, sponsorship and data protection agreements. She also has experience with coordinating and providing advice on international e-gaming regarding regulatory sensitivities for real time data transfer and augmented reality gaming on handheld mobile devices, and assisting with large scale data mapping and policy for company data protection preparation and on-going compliance.
Joanna was a contributor to the Preiskel’s Chambers & Partners Telecommunications chapter on the European telecoms market and significant legal developments for the last year, which can be seen here.
Before joining Preiskel & Co, Joanna trained at CMS Cameron McKenna Nabarro Olswang LLP in the fields of corporate asset leverage finance, technology media and telecoms. She also gained experience in-house on a commercial and corporate secondment with a key client of the firm, an international marketing agency, and worked as a consultant with Eversheds Sutherland in their Agile team supporting client’s projects primarily in restructuring and sale of non-performing financial assets.
Joanna has a strong international academic background. She holds a Honours degree in Political Science and Classics from Queens University Canada, followed by a law degree in the UK. She then passed the BPTC at the Inns of Court Law School, and University of Law LPC MSc with Distinction. She also has a Certificat de Langue Franҫaise from the Université de la Sorbonne.
