Kelsey is a solicitor and an associate at Preiskel & Co, where she advises UK-based and international clients on commercial and regulatory matters.
She has particular knowledge of the media and entertainment sectors, including brand and reputation management, internet intermediaries, social media, and the exploitation of content across a range of platforms.
Her telecoms and technology work involves drafting and negotiating a variety of contracts regarding communications regulations and networks, spectrum management, payment services, and software licensing, amongst others. Kelsey also regularly counsels clients on privacy and cybersecurity law, with a particular focus on GDPR including responding to enforcement action from the UK Privacy Regulator, the Information Commissioner’s Office.
In addition, she has experience in corporate finance, and has assisted both private and publicly listed companies with equity and debt fundraisings, reorganisations, mergers, and acquisitions.
Originally from Seattle on the US west coast, Kelsey studied political science at Washington State University. She then earned her Master’s degree in European Union political economy at the London School of Economics, before pursuing her legal education at City Law School, University of London. She is a member of American Women Lawyers in London.
