Xavier Prida is a Mexican qualified lawyer at Preiskel & Co, who specialises in multi-jurisdictional media, technology and commercial contracts, as well as data privacy, interactive entertainment and intellectual property issues within the creative industries.
Xavier advises on complex digital media inquiries as well as structuring, negotiating and drafting IT, media and telecoms agreements, providing advice on the licensing, acquisition, production and distribution of content, new media and technology developments.
He also supports clients across data protection and privacy laws, e-commerce issues, as well as conducting contractual work for new businesses and advising on commercial matters, telecoms and other regulations across multiple jurisdictions.
Xavier has a strong international academic background. After completing his Bachelor of Laws (LLB) at Universidad Iberoamericana, Mexico City, he obtained a Master of Laws (LLM) with Merit in Media Law from Queen Mary, University of London where he specialised in Interactive Entertainment and Intellectual Property Law, the Law and Business of Film, Music Industry Contracts, Media Regulation and Media Law.
Before joining Preiskel & Co, Xavier worked as Legal Director for the digital division of an international media conglomerate and one of the largest Spanish content producers in the world.
Xavier speaks English, Spanish and French and is a member of the Association for UK Interactive Entertainment and the International Bar Association.
